A fun and relaxed outdoor session with your loved ones. I’ll guide you through props, prompts, and creative ideas to capture genuine interactions, laughter, and love.

Family photos can be a struggle when we try to control every aspect of the session. I take a more hands off approach, providing items to interact with and catching those natural moments of you and your kids showcasing your unique dynamic. I think this results in the most natural and meaningful photos. Don't worry, we'll still do our best to get a good everyone-looking-at-the-camera shot.

FAQ

What if my kids don't sit still?

They don't need to! Kids love to move, and I love to capture those natural interactions. I will prompt you to interact with your children and attempt redirections, but we don't try to make them sit still. We will attempt (usually successfully) to get a nice family portrait with everyone looking in a more natural way.

What Do We Wear?

Outfits can really make or break a photo. I recommend dressing for the season. Neutrals always look good but if you'd like some color try pastels in spring, warm jewel tones in summer and autumn, and cool deep neutrals with a pop of color in winter. Stick to a small color palette across all people involved and avoid bright color and patterns. I'll be available to help you decide!

What Time are Sessions?

For most outdoor sessions I prefer the golden light of the hour before sunset.

How Many Photos Will We Get Back?

With an hour Session, I return around 60 photos to you. You won't have to choose which to download, the entire gallery is yours!

A young boy holds a magnifying glass to his toddler brothers eye.
2 young boys look up at the camera upside down.
Dad holds his hand up for a young boy who has run and jumped to give a high five.
Mom holds her toddler up in the sunset light while facing away from the camera.
Mom, dad, toddler boy, and young son pose for a family photo.

I LIKE TO GIVE FREEDOM TO THE PEOPLE I CAPTURE TO LET THEM EXPRESS THEMSELVES IN THE WAY THEY WANT. THE RESULTS ARE ALWAYS VERY INTERESTING AND UNEXPECTED, AND I THINK THIS IS HOW MAGIC WORKS IN A WAY TO CAPTURE MOMENTS.
